Very sought after Bogdan-styled bench-made salmon fly reel by the very accomplished reel maker Murray Stewart (Scotland), and one of the very rare 1st edition of his reels - this reel was only the third reel off his bench! This is model/size 400, and in the most desirable LHW format. Alloy with black delrin plates. 4" diameter, and 2 1/2" width between side plates. With a loud clicker & very strong adjustable drag (brake drum) and a backplate mounted 10 position shielded regulator. Classic'S' handle, with a large slightly coned black handle grip & counterweight. It is fitted with a short alloy 65 mm smooth foot attached with 2 screws. It has a measured 1.9 to 1 multiplier action. The reel is mint - never lined or used.
