Life Magazine #1 (November 23, 1936) Rare First Edition, Very nice GD/VG

  

Good to Very Good Condition! This is the FULL-SIZE beauty!!! NOT the smaller format size, promotional issue. Highlights: The overall color is excellent!

Cream-off white reverse, and white/off-white pages. Interior color is crisp and above grade and pages. Are mostly squared with only a few instances of paper loss. No water damage, and no markings apparent. There are noticeable defects, including.

Corner rounding, edge wear, spine creasing. Moderate spine separation lower left corner app. 2, mended with archival tape. Small tears and paper loss at top and bottom of spine area.

Folds across front and rear cover; so presents quite well. Of fine paint stains or black dots on rear cover, but not inside. With minimal foxing, but has detached centerfold and another signature.

Overall condition is good when compared to other original Life Magazine 1st editions on the market! It is an American classic; a solid investment potential for this classic magazine sure to increase in value over time. This is a quite hard to find copy in this condition.

Would grade lower due to the spine split and loose centers, still a. Very presentable collector quality rare magazine. It is a very solid magazine with very few copies out there, period.

I think there's a lot of value here as an investment, and price. Must-have solid, foundation for any serious collection of Life Magazines. This is not the reprinted issues from 1950's or 1960's; there is a difference! Later reprints did NOT have the REG. Text in the lower left hand corner.

There are many reprints are out there; and of course. Those copies 25-30 years newer, look better. BUT, they are not a first edition from 1936!
