Has the textual points listed by Smith including'latter' for letter' on p. 160; and'sister' instead of'visitor' on p.

With the frontispiece and first four plates showing the publisher's imprint, as required for the first state has a tiny tear in the 4. No other rips or tears. The book pages have some foxing but does NOT contain the usual heavy foxing and where there is some browning it tends to be on the verso of the plates and sporadically to the margins of the plates. This example is beautifully bound. Has a firm binding with NO hinge weakness and no loose leaves present.

It's an attractive and polished binding that would sit handsomely on any bookshelf. For a book that was printed 182 years ago, it's in fantastic condition. This book is only going to go up in value.
