What you see here is a ridiculously rare "The Nightmare Before Christmas" Special Edition DVD that came in an exclusive coffin-shaped box with two lids (one very stiff, tight-fitting cardboard lid that you see with the purple foiled text on the cover, and one clear plastic lid where you get to see the contents inside) so it can either be fully protected or shown on display. I've always had it fully protected, as you can see from the images. As you've probably not seen one of these before, I should explain a bit about it. But I kept this one. Sadly, The Nightmare Before Christmas isn't as trendy as it once was, so I'm offering it at a price that suits not only the scarcity of the set, but the quality, and the fact that it was once being traded like gold because of its limited numbers. As well as the wall-socket "Jack Skellington" night light (which I think is for a USA plug socket; I'm not entirely sure, but it was imported from the USA so I'm guessing it's a US plug), it features the exclusive coffin-shaped (very heavy, very sturdy) packaging with magenta foiling and matt-encapsulated outer packaging, a "Special Edition DVD Set" wraparound strip (which most of the sets at the time didn't even have because people had opened them and lost that part), a clear plastic outer lid with silver logo, bat, and silhouette accents (and the NECA logo, which is who licensed the set and so many other Nightmare Before Christmas products), and the special edition DVD set featuring. Deleted scenes and animated sequences. Behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film. Still frame gallery of concept art and character designs (over 450 images).
