Very Rare Leica Hermes Leica Silver Chrome Mp (0,72) / Hermes Edition

  

Offered to you is this very, very rare and boxed Leica MP 0,72 HERMES silver edition. In the early 2000s, Leica introduced the MP Hermes Edition Set, which included the Summicron-M 35mm f/2 ASPH lens in silver chrome. Only 500 sets were produced and we are pleased to offer the set which has got limited edition serial number # : 051/500 (and body number : 2939688). The camera is wrapped in exquisite Barenia calfskin leather supplied by the famed Parisian high-fashion house Hermès. This special edition includes a camera carrying strap that is handcrafted by Hermès, using the same exquisite Barenia leather.

The lens hood, the camera body cap as well as the front and rear covers of the lens are made of solid brass and they too, are finished in silver chrome. Details such as the silver-chrome finger tab on the lens and the special serial numbers from 001/500 to 500/500 engraved on the lens and on the camera round out the differences from regular production models.

The cooperation with Hermès is indicated by a fine embossing on the back of the carrying strap that reads Hermès Made in France. As you can see on the images it shows some little wear near the leather but the camera itself is working for the full 100% and does not show and dents or dings. Shutterspeeds run accurate and lens is flawless and does not show any fungus or haze.
