Winnie The Pooh, 1926, 1st Edition, 1st Printing, VERY RARE COLLECTOR'S ITEM

  

THIS RARE BOOK WILL BE A LOVELY GIFT FOR SOMEONE TRULY SPECIAL. This a genuine 1st edition, 1st print children's classic for anyone who has ever loved the charming stories of Winnie the Pooh. Printed by Methuen in Great Britain and published in 1926, this is a genuine 1st edition, 1st printing of this children's classic, with only one date "First Published in 1926" appearing in the front of the book (as pictured). There were 5,500 first editions, first printings of this book published, with less than 3,500 known still known to be in existence today. The book is in very good condition, especially for such a rare book which has been handled by children and is nearly 100 years old.

The map of "Hundred Acre Wood" in the front and back of the book look excellent. The forest green front & back covers are in good condition (as seen in the photos).

The gold gilt is still evident at the top of the book, with pretty gilt vignettes of the characters on the front cover. There are beautiful illustrations of Winnie the Pooh, Christopher Robin and friends by Ernest H.
