Rare and highly collectable first edition, first printing of this book in the ever popular series. Published by Macmillan in 1947, Complete with original dustwrapper. Wonderful illustrations by Stuart Tresilian.

Pictorial yellow boards have some browning. Corners have some bumping and rubbing and spine has a partial lean and a crease. Name written inside on front end paper. Pages have a bit of tanning/browning and foxing.

Not price-clipped; well over 95% complete. Has some creasing and general edge-wear and a few tears have been repaired invisibly on the underside.
