An INCREDIBLE Thor Heyerdahl Collection! One book is a SIGNED First American Book Club Edition! The other book is NOT SIGNED but is a TRUE First American Edition/First Printing with ALL First Edition Points present! Please remember only ONE of these books is SIGNED and that book is NOT a First Edition/First Printing!

It is a Book Club Edition, (BCE), an important distinction to remember! The other book is a TRUE First American Edition/First Printing but is NOT SIGNED and is lacking the dust jacket! Issued with a dust jacket, unfortunately the jacket is no longer present. Both of these books are hardcovers, published by Rand McNally in 1958.

Both books have varying degrees of wear, but are still in Highly Collectible condition! Please continue reading for more specific information pertaining to the books, specifically their condition! The book appears gently read and has no internal writing, no foxing, no remainder marks, no missing or ripped pages and is NOT Ex-Libris or a BCE. The binding is still holding tight and the pages are surprisingly crisp and clean! Some general/shelf wear along with creases/scuffing/marks/wear to the spine/corners/cloth boards and marks/wear to the edge/fore pages, NOT affecting the text! Please note the wear to the spine/corners/cloth boards, particularly near/along the edges, and the numerous, large marks on the edge/fore pages! The wear, especially the numerous, large marks on the edge/fore pages, is VERY clearly visible and should be carefully examined/considered. American Book Club Edition, (BCE). Some general/shelf wear along with creases, chipping, scuffing, marks and rips resulting in some loss of paper. Portions of both the front and rear inside jacket flaps have been cut off! Located near/along the top edges, both the front and rear inside jacket flaps have been closely photographed for your consideration.

There are also some marks/discoloration on the inside of the dust jacket! Please note the wear on the spine , at the corners, on both the front and rear inside jacket flaps and near/along the edges! We tend to grade the condition of our books rather harshly and took into consideration any and all wear when determining the value of these exceedingly RARE books.
