Fender Mustang PJ bass. Rare very limited edition in surf pearl. Unused and mint

This is my Fender Mustang PJ bass. Very rare, very limited edition in surf pearl with a maple fretboard, it is unused and mint. Very difficult to find when they were issued as they only made 100 for Europe. I found this one at a music store in Germany.

The colour is'surf pearl' which is classic Fender surf green with a pearly, sparkly finish. Really quite stunning but very tasteful too - especially if you are a fan of the classic Fender pastel custom colours - shell pink, daphne blue etc. I have fitted a good quality chrome bridge cover and a high-quality set of GHS Precision Flats.

095 light-gauge, flatwound strings that are superb - the best bass strings on the planet as far as I'm concerned. The bass is well set up with a low action, no fret buzz and I've just adjusted the intonation so it's ready to go. Fretwork is really tidy as well. I've also had a 3-ply, green-pearl pickguard custom made by the excellent Brian Pillans in Glasgow. I thought it might give the bass a bit more'bling'.

However, at the moment the bass has the original, classic. Plain mint-green one fitted which I actually prefer. The green-pearl one will be included with the bass. Swapping the pickguard is an easy 5-minute job - no wiring involved. The bass is 100% mint and is basically new and unused.

It also sounds superb as well as looking great. It comes with its original tools and paperwork and its Fender QC headstock tag. These limited run basses were much more expensive than the standard PJ bass.

The bass will be sent by UPS 24-hour Express courier service, signed-for and fully insured. If you are within about 50 miles or so (give or take a few miles) of Southampton, I'll deliver the bass myself for free or I'll drive a similar distance to meet you somewhere. No silly offers please - I've already had one that was ridiculous - hence this comment.
