In overall very good condition though there are some areas where the metal under the nylon has rusted. And a couple of areas where the nylon has frayed a bit.

Cheick Diallo was born in Mali in 1960. The son of an architect, he studied Architecture in L'Ecole d' architecture de Rouen, France. After graduating in 1994, he went on to further specialise in Industrial Design at the prestigious Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Creation Industrielle (ENSCI) based in Paris. He opened his studio in Bamako and has experimented with ideas and processes centred on producing objects and furniture locally. This has made him one the pioneers of contemporary experimental and conceptual design in Africa.
His work has been exhibited in and is part of many prestigious museums and institutions' collections such as the Brooklyn Museum (USA), Musee du Grand Hornu (Belgium), the National Centre for Art and Culture Georges Pompidou (Paris, France), the Manchester Museum of Art (Manchester UK) or the Museum of Art and Design in New York. His work has also been shown in international biennials, including Dak'Art Biennale (Senegal); Design Biennale, Liège (Belgium); Gwangju Biennale (Korea) and the Design Biennial in Saint-Étienne (France).
