Vintage Soviet Raketa very rare special edition 2623 true 24h watch

  

This is a very sought after special collector's item. The watch was made in 1987, to the 150th anniversary of Russian Railways.

Probably as a special order from Russian Railways management. When Raketa special editions are usually just a slightly modified standard Raketa watches, with some logo and/or text added, this watch has uniquely designed full dial and bezel.

Unfortunately, the dial of this model is very easily getting dirty or losing paint and most of the remaining Russian Railway watches have modest condition, like this example. Very good condition Railway watches are many times higher valued. Additionally, I have to note that - the case is chrome plated and has lost some chrome on the back side, front side is OK - watch came without seconds hand, I'm gonna include an original Raketa seconds hand to the watch and you can try to install it, if you like - watch comes with low quality vintage Soviet stainless steel bracelet, which I preserved just for the originality. This watch has a true 24 movement (type 2623) which needs a full day (24 hours) for one round. Raketa 2623 true 24 hour hand wind movement, 19 jewels.

Diameter : 42 mm with crown, lug to lug 43 mm, lugs 18 mm Case : chrome plated with stainless steel snap caseback, acrylic crystal Crown : at 3 to hand wind and set time, at 4 to set 2nd time zone bezel Strap : vintage Soviet stainless steel bracelet. Good condition for this watch model.

The last service date is unknown. The watch comes without box and papers. I sell watches I do not need for my collection, mostly duplicates or not my theme items.
