For sale is a rare and charming little volume, being The Life of His Grace The Duke of Wellington, &c. Together with a Copious Account of the Memorable Battle of Waterloo.
Published by Thomas Allman, London, 1852. Bound in the publisher's original vertically-ribbed cloth, with decorations in gilt to the spine and upper board. Stamping in blind to both boards.Original publisher's advertisement leaf endpapers. Externally it remains largely bright, and the cloth and gilt are crisp. Extraneously rubbed and bumped in places, and with the odd loss. The hinges and gutters remain very firm indeed. Internally, save the odd sporadic spot, it is delightfully clean and fresh.
The illustrations are as clean as one could hope for. Overall, this is an opportunity not to be missed; we are unable to locate another example of this work on the marketX such is it's rarity.
